Operation Hero
Operation Hero is an enrichment program designed to assist students who are experiencing the challenges of military lifestyle. In Operation Hero the children work as a team. The Operation Hero Facilitator leads the children in group discussions about who they are and how they fit in at home and at school. They discuss how to manage feelings and friendships and practice conflict resolution skills. Children receive homework assistance in areas determined by their classroom teacher or engage in independent reading.
Operation Hero meets after school, twice weekly, for 2.5 hours. Your child will meet with Operation Hero Facilitator at a designated classroom for homework assistance and/or independent reading, team building and self esteem building activities. Your will need to make arrangements to have your child picked up after the program.
Please complete the Operation Hero Registration Packet and return to your Child's classroom teacher.
