Meet the School Counselor

Hello!

My name is Kelsey Finkle and I am so honored to serve as the school counselor for Mary Fay Pendleton School.

My mission as a school counselor is to provide comprehensive and data-driven academic, career development, and social/emotional services for all students. Through advocating for equity and access for every student, the school counseling program activities and interventions support student success, inspire lifelong leadership, and develop meaningful contributors to a global society.

I support students through:

  • Preventative classroom counseling lessons for all students (Second Step Violence Prevention Curriculum, problem solving, goal setting, college and career, etc.)
  • Coordination and consultation with students, teachers, families, and other support staff to help students succeed
  • Small group and individual counseling, on a short-term basis, to help students develop new skills to use at school and at home
  • Connecting families to community resources for additional counseling or other services needed

If you have any questions or concerns please contact me at krawson@fuesd.org or (949) 325-6872.  I am on site at Mary Fay every Monday and Tuesday with a flexible Wednesday.
